Dr. Manuel’s son-in-law Gianni, along with Juan, are available to assist the team in any way they can including transportation of equipment, supplies and food and taxiing team members to the hotel from the hospital late at night.

Some hopeful clinic attendees are not candidates for this years surgery list. This young man is being taught by TNMS professionals how to manage his pain.

Sandra is a Cerebral Palsy patient that was treated during 2017. She is doing very well and returns each year for follow up and numerous hugs

Back at the Santa Ines hospital the various unit supply stations have been set up. This is the Anaesthesia station.

Large crowd at clinic day hoping for life altering surgery

Day 3 – Feb 28, Clinic Day

Its clinic day. The Rotary club provided their building to host the TNMS 2019 clinic. Most of the TNMS team were needed at the the clinic while the remaining went to the Santa Ines hospital to finish preparations for the surgeries starting on Friday.

The clinic was a very successful one due in large part to Dr. Manuel’s skillful pre-assessments and clinic candidate selections. There were approximately 60 surgery candidates assessed on clinic day. In all 48 of those were selected as surgical candidates. Over the next 5 days surgeries will be performed at Santa Ines.

The missing TNMS bags and totes and the missing personal luggage will not arrive in Cuenca until tomorrow.
