Dear TNMS supporters,

The last 2 days have been busy and crazy! Day 4 was our start in the OR. We were able to do 7 total hips. Many of them were quite complex. We saw a number of follow ups.

There was one special 13 year old, doing well after a complicated course. I asked her if she had a boyfriend, she said no she wanted a dog. The bravery of the patients to trust us continues to  amaze us.

Instrument sterilization has always been a problem but this year is worse. At 10 pm we dropped off 275 kg of instruments at a second hospital as we had overwhelmed our home hospital’s ability to provide sterilization. Fortunately that proved the solution.
